I am a Cancer Information Specialist for the American Cancer Society National Cancer Information Center. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We respond to inbound calls from constituents of all backgrounds by providing education, resources, and assistance. We help communicate cancer and organizational information, accept donations, and connect callers with appropriate resources. We listen actively to constituent concerns and resolve caller needs immediately using online databases. (continue)

I was an Intern Case Manager (InternCM) at ASA. My connecting experience was special in that I worked full-time at the agency clocking in over 480 hours of field time. The title of InternCM gave me many opportunities to have direct contact with clients and have my own client load. I also co-facilitated an educational series for employees and staff of ASA.
